After both leading edges are done it was time to play again. The first two pictures show the left tank and the left leading edge connected with clecos. This gives you the length of the wing except for the fiberglass wing tip. The small portion of structure sticking out at the right side of the fuel tank is the small gap that is between the fuselage structure and the wing. This space is used to make connections between the wing and the fuselage and will be covered by a narrow piece of wing skin. The bottom two pictures show the pieces from the rear after I removed the clecos and positioned them for flight. The dimples held them together nicely. They are attached to the spar with rivets and bolts. |
