I decided to test the fuel system for leaks after in installed them. To do it, I hooked up three hoses, one to each of the bulkhead fittings and ran them all back to a can of mineral spirits sitting on the floor of the fuselage. Two are inputs, one from each wing, and one is the output from the firewall bulkhead fitting.
I then powered up the fuel pump and let it suck from the can from each side using the fuel selector. I ran it for about an hour from each side and then let it sit overnight. I had no leaks. A good sign but not proof it won’t leak with avgas, which is less viscous than mineral spirits.
