These picture show how I supported the piece during match drilling. In the first picture you see some of the angle stock I cut from architectural aluminum when I was making my Sonex. I use to set up temporary jigs or holdfasts for pieces. clamp the piece the angle and then clamp the angle  to the table.

After doing one side you flip the piece over, but that side now has a row of silver clekoes so you have to raise and support it. More clamps and some various pieces of wool accomplish that.
