The forward part of the canopy frame is quite complex. The instructions take you step by step however so it is hard to mess up.

In the bottom two pictures it is easiest to see the two pieces of channel stock that run from the left side to the right side. They are pre-made jig pieces to hold the pieces together correctly while under construction. There is actually a third piece that gets used later. When the canopy frame is complete they are just nice pieces of scrap.

Lots of match drilling and up-sizing of holes in very specific order. The second picture is of the top skin all dimpled.
