After working on the right elevator it is time to work on the left. The left has a number of complications due to containing the trim tab. The doubler in the first two pictures is attached to the left elevator bottom skin and provides support and access for the trim tab servo. You attach several nut plates to it prior to final assembly.
Which comes after the usual deburring and cleaning. With the girls gone, I have taken over the downstairs bedroom and bathroom for my office space. It has been very convenient to clean off large pieces in the tub with Dawn dishwashing liquid before assembly. I also found a place to hang the Horizontal Stabilizer in the garage.
