Although I got more efficient as I went along, I started out using one batch of 60 grams of sealant and taking two hours to do each rib. This was more sealant than necessary, but I used it all to cover the shop heads of the rivets and fillet the edges of the ribs. The two hours included all the mixing and cleanup and as I said I got a little quicker as I went along, but that was my budgeted time for each rib. The first picture below shows all the ribs in place except for the inboard top partial rib. The second picture shows the installation of a forward bracket that is installed between the two inboard partial ribs. The first steps of the tank build are done at this point so I started on the right tank and got it to the same point. |
