With the prop on, I could attach the belt to the alternator and set the belt tension. It is really easy. I applied some pressure and then tightened the alternator down and measured the slip torque of the alternator pulley on the belt. My first try came in at about half of what is needed. I made a mark at the bolt location and then loosened the alternator and leveraged it down past the mark until I thought I might have it and tightened up the alternator again.  When I measured the slip torque it was dead on.

Ever since the alternator was attached I was afraid that I would forget to have the belt around the prop hub when installing the propellor. If you do, you have to take the prop off to install the belt. I know people who have done this and it seemed very possible I could have too, but I didn’t.

As I was now starting to route wires in and around the baffles, I also started to get at the accessible areas of the baffles that would need sealing with RTV. That is being shown in the last two pictures.
