These pictures show the final stages of firewall forward attachments. The first two show the EGT wires attached. They are the last wires to be attached to the engine.

Picture three shows the big red cable I made that connects the battery to the ground power contactor.

The last picture shows the last bit of fittings and hoses that needed to be attached to the engine. It’s the sniffle valve. Really. That’s what it’s called. 

It is attached to the bottom of the intake system, in which, a small portion of the fuel has been mixed with the intake air. When the engine is running, the suction of the intake system keeps the sniffle valve closed. When the engine shuts down, there is a small amount of fuel that condenses out of the air trapped in the intake system and over time could build up and lead to a backfire in the intake system. Very bad. So with no suction when the engine is off, the sniffle valve opens and the collected fuel drains out. Every time you shut down the engine it gets the sniffles.
